Job summary

Med-Metrix is seeking a Quality Analyst for Inpatient Coding to collaborate cross-functionally on documentation, coding and compliance improvements. You will review coding quality for accounts processed by Medical Coders and design quality review programs.

The role requires HIPAA knowledge and the ability to mentor a coding team. You will lead efforts to ensure adherence to coding workflows and drive accuracy, while supporting workflow efficiency and team development.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of IPDRGCoding.
• Proficient with E/M and CPT Procedure coding.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience with exceptional performance in quality management Medical Coding—HIPAA knowledge required.
• Ability to work in a team, adapt to changing responsibilities, shifts, procedures and workload.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal staff to develop improved capabilities in documentation, coding and compliance.
• Assess and review overall coding quality on accounts completed by Medical Coders.
• Design and implement quality coding review programs and communicate findings to coding management.
• Lead and guide team members to meet objectives and uphold company culture and policies.
• Manage daily operations to ensure quality, efficiency and productivity targets are met.
• Address internal and external customer issues and ensure workflow adherence.
