Job summary

Med-Metrix is seeking a Quality Analyst (SDS/IVR) to ensure accurate coding for Same Day Surgery and Interventional Radiology services. You will lead audits, drive corrective actions, and coach coders to improve documentation and reduce denials.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in a health-related field with CPC certification and 2+ years’ SDS/IR QA experience, plus strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field is required or equivalent experience.
• CPC certification required; CIRCC strongly preferred for IVR.
• 2+ years SDS/IR QA experience in outpatient settings is expected.

Responsibilities

• Audit SDS and IR encounters for CPT/HCPCS, ICD-10-CM, modifiers, and charge capture.
• Validate coding and ensure alignment with payer policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead audit findings, trend analyses, and actionable recommendations.
• Coach and provide 1:1 feedback to coders and collaborate with Training/Ops.
• Maintain QA trackers, sampling plans, and documentation; support denials prevention.
