Job summary

HedgeServ is seeking a Python Developer to design, build, and maintain applications for internal and external clients. You will collaborate with developers, QA, and operations to ensure reliable pipelines and scalable systems, focusing on modern Python-based solutions.

You will contribute to testing strategies (TDD), work across teams, and support production-ready software with a focus on performance and reliability, while leveraging AWS services and distributed architectures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with object-oriented programming in Python or other languages.
• Experience with version control systems (Git, etc.).
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD) and automated testing.
• Hands-on experience with SQL and/or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with building RESTful APIs.
• Experience with distributed systems and Agile practices.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as SQS, S3, and SNS.
• Experience collaborating across teams on cross-platform initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, and high-quality code with a strong focus on code review, pairing, and continuous delivery.
• Collaborate with QA and business analysts to create and maintain automated tests and improve testing tools.
• Partner with operations teams to ensure applications run effectively and efficiently in production.
• Work across teams to understand business needs, improve technical practices, and support platform-wide solutions.
• Participate in design discussions for future development and system evolution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in a timely manner with a focus on reliability and scalability.
