Job summary

HedgeServ in Manila, Philippines, seeks a Python Developer to design, build, and maintain applications for internal and external clients. You will collaborate with developers, QA, and operations to ensure a reliable, scalable pipeline and high-quality software.

The ideal candidate has a CS degree, strong OO Python skills, experience with SQL/MongoDB, RESTful APIs, and AWS services, and understands Agile and TDD. Docker/Kubernetes familiarity is a plus; remote/hybrid options are available.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
Experience with object-oriented programming, preferably in Python.
Experience with version control systems.
Experience in teams that value unit and acceptance testing, especially Test-Driven Development (TDD).
Hands-on experience with SQL and/or MongoDB.
Familiarity with building RESTful APIs.
Experience with distributed systems.
Understanding of Agile best practices and values.
Familiarity with AWS services such as SQS, S3, and SNS.
Experience working across teams and contributing to cross-platform or shared platform initiatives.

Responsibilities

Write clean, maintainable, high-quality code with a strong focus on code review and continuous delivery.
Collaborate with QA and business analysts to create and maintain automated tests.
Partner with operations to ensure applications run effectively in production.
Work across teams to understand business needs and support platform-wide solutions.
Participate in design discussions for future development and system evolution.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues prioritizing reliability and scalability.
