Job summary

HedgeServ Philippines in Manila is seeking a Python Developer to design, build, and maintain applications for internal and external clients. You will work with developers, QA, and operations to ensure a reliable development and production pipeline.

The candidate will develop modern Python-based solutions, RESTful APIs, and distributed systems, with exposure to AWS services and CI/CD practices. HedgeServ supports remote and hybrid work and offers learning opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Experience with object-oriented programming, especially Python.
• Experience with version control systems.
• Experience in teams valuing TDD and testing.
• Hands-on SQL and/or MongoDB experience.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
• Understanding of AWS services (SQS, S3, SNS).
• Experience across teams on cross-platform initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable code with focus on tests and reviews.
• Collaborate with QA and analysts to create automated tests.
• Partner with operations to run applications in production.
• Work across teams to understand business needs and improve practices.
• Participate in design discussions for future development.
• Troubleshoot issues focusing on reliability and scalability.
