Job summary

BruntWork is seeking an experienced Property Management Accountant & Financial Specialist to support owner-facing financial operations and internal bookkeeping. The role involves processing owner statements, managing Rent Manager and QBO entries, and maintaining organized financial records in SharePoint.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in real estate or property management bookkeeping, strong technical proficiency, and fluent written English.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or financial administrative experience—preferably in real estate, housing, or property management.
• Strong understanding of owner distributions, trust accounting basics, property ledger entries, and operational accounts.
• Excellent written English for clear email correspondence and precise reporting.

Responsibilities

• Property Owner Financial Processing: Generate monthly owner statements, process owner draw/disbursement calculations, and post owner-related income/expenses inside Rent Manager.
• Operational Bookkeeping & AP/AR: Manage daily accounts payable and receivable, process vendor invoices, track rental payments, and post ledger entries in QuickBooks Online.
• Account Reconciliation: Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and property accounts across Rent Manager and QBO, resolve discrepancies promptly.
• System & File Management: Maintain, organize, and archive financial documentation, invoices, and reports in MS SharePoint.
• Email & Operations Coordination: Handle financial inquiries and vendor communications using MS Outlook.
• Reporting: Prepare weekly/monthly financial reports for operations and assist with month-end close tasks.
