Job summary

Outsourced Global Staff is seeking a Property Accountant to support a portfolio of commercial real estate properties. This remote role is ideal for detail-oriented professionals with full-cycle property accounting experience.

The successful candidate will handle journal entries, monthly and year-end reports, reconciliations, budgeting support, CAM reconciliations, and lease accounting, working collaboratively with property management teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting; CPA or master's is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in commercial property accounting.
• Proficiency with month-end and year-end close processes.
• Strong Excel skills and experience with Yardi or MRI.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries and maintain GL accuracy.
• Deliver monthly and year-end financial reports with supporting docs.
• Perform account reconciliations and financial analysis.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Manage CAM reconciliations and expense recovery calculations.
• Oversee cash activity including reconciliations and transfers.
• Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
• Ensure timely payments of taxes, loans, and other obligations.
• Assist with audit preparation and collaborate with auditors.
• Support lease accounting, including rent rolls and reporting.
• Partner with property management teams to resolve issues.

We are looking for a Property Accountant to support a portfolio of commercial real estate properties. This role is ideal for someone detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in handling full-cycle property accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy
• Deliver monthly and year-end financial reports with supporting documentation
• Perform account reconciliations and financial analysis (income & expenses)
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Manage CAM reconciliations and expense recovery calculations
• Oversee cash activity, including reconciliations and fund transfers
• Review Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
• Ensure timely payments of taxes, loans, and other obligations
• Assist with audit preparation and collaborate with auditors
• Support lease accounting, including rent rolls, lease abstracts, and reporting

Requirements
