Job summary

HireHawk is seeking a Remote Preconstruction & Project Management Coordinator to work with our Director of Construction. The role starts with preconstruction, estimating, scope development, bid coordination, budgeting, procurement, and constructability review, with potential expansion into broader remote PM support on active projects.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in preconstruction or PM, strong drawing interpretation skills, and proven ability to manage budgets, RFIs, and subcontractor

Qualifications

• 5+ years in construction preconstruction, estimating, project engineering, or project management.
• Strong ability to read and interpret drawings, specs, scopes of work, and sequencing.
• Experience preparing bid packages, leveling proposals, identifying scope gaps, and drafting scope narratives.
• Ability to review multiple drawing disciplines for coordination, completeness, constructability, and risk.
• Strong written communication for RFIs, bid instructions, subcontractor correspondence, meeting notes, and leadership summaries.
• Working knowledge of project budgets, procurement, schedules, RFIs, submittals, change management, and construction documentation.
• Comfort working remotely with high responsiveness, organization, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings to identify coordination issues, missing information, and constructability concerns before field impact.
• Prepare bid packages, scope sheets, and clear subcontractor scope language from project documents.
• Identify qualified subcontractors, distribute bid packages, and manage follow-ups to keep proposals moving.
• Level subcontractor bids, reconcile exclusions, and draft recommendations for leadership.
• Validate costs with market data, quotes, and subcontractor feedback; support cost consciousness.
• Identify value-engineering opportunities to reduce cost or schedule risk while maintaining design intent.
• Draft RFIs and coordinate questions with designers, consultants, subcontractors, and leadership.
• Support budgets, procurement schedules, long-lead-item tracking, and risk items; compile handoff packages.
• As the role grows, assist with RFIs, submittals, procurement, design coordination, change orders, and project closeout.
