Job summary

SCALIS in the Philippines is seeking a Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing. The role requires meticulous attention to detail and strict confidentiality as you handle compensation changes, tax regulations, and reporting.

You will collect timesheets, resolve discrepancies, communicate with staff via our ticket system, and support the Finance team with off-cycle runs and retroactive pay calculations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 2 years of experience in PH payroll and benefits processing
• Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax laws, and regulations.
• High ethical standards and ability to exhibit a high level of confidentiality
• Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office & Google Suite.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect and verify employee timesheets, attendance records, and changes to compensation (e.g., new hires, salary adjustments, terminations)
• Recognize and resolve discrepancies in payroll transactions.
• Review employee timesheets and attendance records submitted by the HR Timekeeper
• Communication with employees for timely resolution of all queries directed to HR and Finance via the ticket tool system
• Serve as the main point of contact for any inquiries related to payroll, working closely with the Finance team
• Manage payroll adjustments, retro pay calculations, and off-cycle payroll runs as needed.
• Stay up-to-date on changes in payroll tax laws, regulations, and best practices
• Update and maintain accurate payroll records within the payroll system, ensuring data integrity and security.
• Create reports as necessary for the team
• Other duties as assigned
