Job summary

Snapscale is seeking a qualified Ophthalmologist to provide remote clinical support for a U.S.-based healthcare practice. The role will involve reviewing patient charts and ophthalmology records, evaluating findings, and providing input based on established protocols.

The ideal candidate is a licensed ophthalmologist with strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and experience working with ophthalmic medical records.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed Ophthalmologist or Optometrist
• Valid and active professional license appropriate for the required scope
• Previous experience in ophthalmology practice or healthcare setting
• Experience reviewing medical charts, clinical records or ophthalmic documentation
• Strong knowledge of ophthalmic conditions, treatments, medications and diagnostic findings
• Excellent clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace

Responsibilities

• Review patient medical charts and ophthalmology records for completeness and accuracy
• Evaluate relevant diagnoses, treatment history, medications, test results, imaging, and other clinical information
• Identify missing, inconsistent, or incomplete information that may require follow-up
• Provide appropriate clinical input based on the information available in the patient's medical record
• Ensure medical documentation is accurate, organized, and compliant with clinic standards
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams regarding chart-related concerns
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and applicable healthcare regulations
