Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in medical records, health information management or related healthcare administrative role.
• Solid understanding of HIPAA regulations and PHI privacy requirements.
• DocuRisk or documentation compliance experience is a strong advantage.
• Proficient in EHR/EMR systems (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth, or similar).
• Experience with ROI processes and third-party records platforms (Sharecare, Ciox, MRO) is a plus.
• Excellent written English communication skills for interaction with US-based staff.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Able to work independently in a remote setup.

Responsibilities

• Medical Records Processing: Retrieve, review, organize, and fulfill requests per HIPAA policies.
• DocuRisk Management: Identify and flag documentation risk and escalate findings.
• Authorization & Verification: Validate identity and authorization before releasing PHI.
• Records Coordination: Liaise with clinical staff to compile complete records packages.
• Data Entry & EHR Management: Enter and maintain records in EHR systems with data integrity.
• Turnaround & SLA Compliance: Fulfill requests within SLAs and track progress.
• Reporting: Prepare daily and weekly logs of requests and escalations.
• Confidentiality & HIPAA Compliance: Handle patient data with discretion and compliance.
• Cross-Team Communication: Coordinate with front desk, billing, and legal teams.
