Job summary

D2B is expanding its remote bookkeeping team to support clients from New Zealand. The role focuses on precise Xero bookkeeping, GST compliance, and payroll tasks across multiple client accounts.

You will handle daily bookkeeping, reconciliations, and monthly management reports, while ensuring accurate, timely financial data. Strong English communication and NZ tax knowledge are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Formal bookkeeping or accounting qualification.
• 5+ years NZ bookkeeping experience incl. GST prep.
• 2+ years hands-on Xero experience.
• Knowledge of NZ tax compliance (PAYE, GST).
• Strong written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Ledger & Transaction Management: daily upkeep of Xero records across client accounts with correct GST application.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: enter and organize bills via Xero, Hubdoc, Dext or client platforms.
• Reconciliation & Reporting: reconcile transactions and prepare monthly reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash summaries, aged AR/AP).
• Payroll & HR Support: process payroll, configure payroll software, onboarding forms, contracts.
• Tax Compliance: audit, check, and process GST returns and PAYE.
• Client & Vendor Communication: manage client emails and professional correspondence.
• Workflow & Time Tracking: record billable time in six-minute increments and manage tasks in Asana.
