Job summary

D2B in the Philippines is seeking a meticulous Remote Bookkeeper to support a New Zealand-based boutique firm. You will manage daily Xero records, GST and PAYE compliance, and generate monthly financial reports while collaborating with clients and suppliers remotely.

The role requires 5+ years NZ bookkeeping experience, 2+ years with Xero, and excellent English communication. NZ holidays and flexible allowances accompany a remote, full-time position.

Qualifications

• Must have a formal bookkeeping or accounting qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional New Zealand bookkeeping experience, including GST.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience using Xero.
• Practical understanding of New Zealand tax compliance standards (including PAYE and GST).
• Advanced written and spoken English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Ledger and transaction management: daily upkeep of Xero records across multiple client accounts with GST application.
• Accounts payable/receivable: manage bills via Xero, Hubdoc, Dext or client platforms.
• Reconciliation & reporting: prepare monthly management reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash summaries, aged AR/AP).
• Payroll & HR support: process payroll, configure payroll software, onboarding forms, employment contracts.
• Tax compliance: audit and process GST returns and PAYE returns.
• Client & vendor communication: manage client emails and professional correspondence.
• Workflow & time tracking: record billable time in six-minute increments; manage Asana workflows.
