Job summary

TeamUp is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper with strong QuickBooks Online skills to join a fully remote U.S. nonprofit accounting firm. The role is a full-time independent contractor, exclusive commitment, and requires coordinating with the team in U.S. Eastern Time (8 AM–5 PM EST).

You'll handle day-to-day bookkeeping, reconciliations, and journal entries, with growth opportunities as the client base expands. Collaboration with a remote team and a learning culture are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field.
• 3–5 years of U.S. bookkeeping or accounting experience.
• Strong QuickBooks Online and Excel skills.
• Experience with Bill.com is a plus.
• Non-profit experience preferred.
• Detail-oriented with consistent process adherence.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining original entries in QuickBooks Online for 3–5 team members.
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations in QBO.
• Prepare journal entries in QBO.
• Use Customer and Class reporting in QBO.
• Reconcile accounts in Excel.
• Collaborate with a remote team and provide status updates.
