Job summary

Emapta is seeking a Network Administrator to safeguard reliable connectivity for enterprise venues, managing LAN/WAN environments and Cisco networking in a permanent work-from-home setup. You will diagnose and resolve complex network issues, optimize performance, and help support mission-critical event technology for clients in a flexible, globally connected team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Network Administrator with a focus on LAN/WAN environments or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Cisco networking equipment and troubleshooting.
• Experience with VoIP systems; familiarity with Asterisk-based PBX systems is an advantage.
• Scripting and programming skills; an interest in network automation is an advantage.
• Relevant certifications, such as Cisco, Microsoft, CCNA, CWNA, MTA, MCSA, or other industry-specific credentials.
• Proficiency in Cisco technologies, Asterisk PBX, VoIP systems, and relevant programming languages.
• Strong accuracy, accountability, and client service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Tier 2 technical escalation point for field operations staff.
• Own support tickets by asking relevant questions, examining evidence, conducting research, and implementing effective solutions.
• Coordinate with Tier 1 staff and consult Tier 3 specialists to provide standardized solutions with minimal supervision.
• Install, troubleshoot, and monitor networks to maintain reliable client connectivity.
• Provide Layer 2 and Layer 3 connectivity through routers and switches in accordance with client requirements and company standards.
• Configure Layer 2 networks, create Layer 3 interfaces, and use Layer 1-3 show commands to map network topology and trace connectivity.
• Monitor networks for potential issues and open tickets for investigation.
• Document network changes, technical decisions, and supporting rationale.
