Job summary

ProPharma is seeking a Medical Information Specialist to join its Medical Information Contact Center. The role involves delivering medical and safety information to healthcare professionals and consumers across multiple channels while ensuring regulatory compliance and proper adverse event reporting.

The MIS will document inquiries, maintain quality checks, and participate in after-hours coverage on a rotating basis.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• English language proficiency.
• Strong cognitive abilities including verbal reasoning, critical thinking and analytical ability.
• Ability to multitask with attention to detail within restrictive timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Responds to unsolicited consumer, health care professional and other external customer requests for medical and safety information via telephone, website/e-mail, letter, fax, and scientific meetings.
• Provides labeled and unlabeled medical/safety information responses in accordance with regulatory requirements and client/internal policies.
• Accurately identifies, documents and reports adverse events, pregnancy reports, special situation events and product complaints per regulations and SOPs.
• Maintains quality by performing quality checks on adverse events, product quality complaints, correspondence, and enquiries.
• Provides after-hours coverage on a rotated basis.
• Complies with privacy and health & safety policies.
