Job summary

Med-Metrix International PH-I, INC. is seeking a Trainer, Medical Coding to educate new and existing medical coders. You will develop modules, maintain coding guidelines, and deliver comprehensive training across ICD-10-CM, CPT, E/M, and RCM topics.

The role emphasizes curriculum development, weekly data reviews, and onboarding plus refresher training for tenured coders, ensuring HIPAA compliance and high-quality education.

Qualifications

• Graduate of Medical or Allied Medical course or equivalent experience.
• CPC certification from AAPC or CCS certification from AHIMA.
• Proficient with Revenue Cycle Management, E/M and Procedure Coding.
• Ability to work in a team while adjusting to changing responsibilities and schedules.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Willingness to work extended hours and remain calm under pressure.
• Independently motivated yet able to function in a team environment.
• Strict adherence to HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Develops and updates medical coding training modules (ICD 10 CM, CPT, E/M).
• Creates curriculum and training syllabi for coding and billing programs.
• Maintains knowledge of ICD 10 CM, ICD 10 PCS, CPT and HCPCS guidelines.
• Produces training materials for coding exercises, assessments and exams.
• Compiles coder scores and presents data in weekly meetings.
• Provides ongoing education and refresher training for staff.
• Collaborates with all workgroups to resolve internal and external issues.
• Ensures compliance with Med-Metrix policies and procedures.
• Supports QA and calibration training and account launches.
