Job summary

Work For Prosper is seeking an experienced in-house counsel to manage all company legal disputes from filing to resolution. You will handle civil actions, collections, and contract disputes, drafting and reviewing IC agreements, client contracts, NDA, vendor contracts, and corporate documents.

The role requires Juris Doctor or LL.B., Philippine Bar in good standing, and willingness to travel for court proceedings. Experience with U.S.-based matters and strong negotiation skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• JD/LL.B. degree required and Philippine Bar in good standing.
• Willingness to travel for meetings and court proceedings.
• Experience in civil litigation, corporate and contract law is an advantage.
• Experience supporting U.S.-based companies or matters is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage all company legal disputes from initial complaint through resolution.
• Handle small claims, civil actions, collections, and contract disputes.
• Draft and review contracts (IC agreements, client contracts, NDA, vendor contracts), demand letters, notices, pleadings, and corporate documents.
• Manage pre-litigation matters, negotiations, and settlements.
• Prepare case files, evidence, and legal docs for U.S. counsel as needed.
• Advise management on legal risks, employment issues, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate debt recovery and civil collection proceedings.
• Attend court cases on behalf of the company.
• Develop litigation strategies balancing legal risk and business objectives.
• Coordinate with external counsel and government agencies as needed.
