Job summary

Roth & Co is seeking a Junior Accountant for 100% remote work with US-based clients. The role includes maintaining records, bookkeeping, and assisting with monthly and year-end closings using leading accounting software.

We require 2–3 years of accounting experience, strong attention to detail, and ability to work the 8:00 PM–5:00 AM EST shift. US client exposure is a plus, with opportunities for professional growth and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Knowledge and hands-on experience in bookkeeping and general accounting processes.
• Experience with general ledger, reconciliations, monthly reporting, AP, and AR.
• US accounting or US client experience is a strong advantage.
• Experience using QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite or similar accounting software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounting records and assist with daily accounting transactions.
• Perform bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance.
• Assist in preparing monthly financial reports and accounting schedules.
• Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Support payroll processing, including payroll-related reports and adjustments.
• Review transactions and supporting documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation for audit and reporting purposes.
• Provide accounting reports and support to management and other departments.
• Perform other accounting-related tasks as assigned.
