Job summary

Numinus in the Philippines is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our growing finance team. Reporting to a Senior Accountant, you will handle transactional accounting and assist with month-end close processes.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone early in their career who is accurate, organized, and eager to grow with our finance function. Remote work and PST-aligned scheduling enable flexible collaboration with onshore teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 2-4 years of accounting experience; CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
• Solid understanding of general accounting principles and month-end/quarter-end close cycle.
• Experience with AP processing and account reconciliations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage Intacct, NetSuite, QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and strong Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
• Good written and verbal communication; comfortable working directly with an onshore team.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable (AP) in line with policy, including invoice coding, verification, and payment preparation.
• Support the month-end and quarter-end close process for timely, accurate reporting.
• Prepare journal entries per policy.
• Prepare month-end and quarter-end schedules (PP&E, prepaids, AR, etc.).
• Assist the Senior Accountant with ad-hoc tasks and analysis.
• Maintain audit-ready records and supporting documentation.
