Job summary

Twoconnect is seeking a Joinery Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive estimates for commercial fit-out and specialist joinery. The role involves reviewing tender documents, performing quantity take-offs, calculating labour and material costs, and coordinating with suppliers and stakeholders to support successful bids.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of five years’ estimating experience in commercial joinery, strong command of English, and proficiency with estimating software and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Commercial Management or related discipline is essential.
• Minimum 5 years’ estimating experience within commercial fit-out projects with woodworking or specialist joinery is essential.
• Strong knowledge of joinery construction methods, materials, finishes, hardware and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to interpret architectural, interior-design and detailed joinery drawings.
• Experience estimating material take-offs and calculating labour, fabrication and installation requirements.
• Experience sourcing supplier and subcontractor quotations and negotiating pricing.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Excel is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Review tender packs, drawings, specs to understand project scope and client requirements.
• Identify specified materials, finishes, fittings and joinery requirements.
• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs for joinery works.
• Calculate material, labour, fabrication, assembly, installation and subcontractor costs.
• Enter data into estimating software and verify final cost calculations.
• Prepare detailed and professionally presented cost breakdowns.
• Support tender submissions through to handover to delivery teams.
• Maintain tender records, quotations and supporting documentation.
