Job summary

Private Advertiser seeks a remote technical design engineer to transform customer data into integrated automation concepts. You will size and cost solutions with European and Chinese partners and produce layouts and proposals for the sales team.

You may join customer video calls to clarify requirements and present solutions. The role involves reviewing drawings and data, defining design requirements, and delivering complete design packages with BOMs and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Excel for pivot tables, data profiling and throughput modelling.
• Ability to build clear proposals, cost models and ROI analyses for commercial decisions.
• Excellent written and spoken English; capable of presenting to customers via video.
• Experience designing intralogistics solutions with two or more: AMR/AGV, shuttle, AS/RS, VLM, conveyors or sortation.

Responsibilities

• Review customer drawings and requirements; identify data gaps for sales.
• Analyze operational data to define design requirements and capacity.
• Develop integrated concepts with AMRs/AGVs, shuttles, AS/RS, conveyors and related systems.
• Produce layouts, flow diagrams and capacity calculations; validate with simulations.
• Define software architecture across WMS/WCS and interfaces to ERP/WMS.
• Prepare BOMs and cost estimates with partners in China and Europe.
• Write technical proposals and ROI/business-case analyses for sales.
• Join customer calls to clarify requirements and present concepts.
• Support sales with technical inputs and sales tools remotely.
• Hand over completed design packages to delivery with scope and change management.
