You will work to verify eligibility, process authorizations, and manage enrollment steps, while maintaining HIPAA-compliant documentation and collaborating with the front-desk VMA for smooth patient transitions.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare settings with insurance verification and prior authorization responsibilities.
• Familiarity with US commercial insurance plans, Medicaid, or both.
• Strong documentation and data-entry skills with attention to HIPAA rules.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient eligibility and benefits with commercial plans and Medicaid.
• Initiate and process prior authorization requests and track status.
• Assess financial eligibility and assist with nonprofit or reduced-cost programs.
• Support patient intake, enrollment, and chart preparation.
• Assist with provider credentialing and payer enrollment as needed.
• Prepare and update patient charts and ensure complete enrollment documents.
• Manage backlog and case progression with clear documentation and follow-up.
• Collaborate with bilingual front-desk VMA to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Develop SOPs and improve back-office processes for consistency and turnaround.
