Job summary

The ideal candidate holds PHRN or Medical Allied background with CCS or CIC certification, at least 1 year of inpatient coding experience, and a strong eye for detail in clinical documentation.

Qualifications

• Inpatient coding experience and strong medical terminology knowledge.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in clinical documentation.
• Experience with blended voice and non-voice healthcare accounts.
• CCS or CIC certification is required.
• PHRN or Medical Allied background with coding credentials.

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient medical records and assign accurate medical codes based on coding guidelines.
• Validate clinical documentation to support accurate coding and case classification.
• Ensure coding outputs meet productivity, quality, and compliance expectations.
• Identify documentation gaps or coding concerns and raise when needed.
• Maintain accurate coding records and work documentation.
• Coordinate with QA, operations, or coding leadership on corrections and process updates.
