Job summary

Workplace in Manila is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in HVAC and Plumbing to support UK projects remotely. The role combines office work in Pasay with collaboration with UK teams to deliver heating, cooling, ventilation, and public health systems for commercial buildings.

You will produce 2D AutoCAD drawings and contribute to 3D modelling with Revit, perform core calculations, interpret UK standards, and engage in design reviews with international colleagues.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (building services focus).
• Strong knowledge of 2D AutoCAD and 3D modelling tools (Revit).
• Experience with cost estimating take-offs and QA documentation.
• Familiarity with UK standards and regulations (CIBSE, BSEN, F-Gas, BESA).
• Excellent English communication, written and spoken.

Responsibilities

• Develop concept, schematic, and detailed designs for HVAC and public health systems.
• Produce coordinated 2D AutoCAD drawings and assist with 3D modelling (Revit).
• Perform core calculations (heat gains/losses, ventilation rates, duct/pipe sizing).
• Prepare equipment schedules and interpret UK standards (CIBSE, BSEN, F-Gas, BESA).
• Collaborate remotely with UK engineers and participate in online design reviews.
• Extract material and labour quantities from drawings/specs to support tenders.
• Ensure all design documentation meets QA and client requirements.
