Workplace in Manila is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer specializing in HVAC and Plumbing to support UK projects remotely. The role combines office work in Pasay with collaboration with UK teams to deliver heating, cooling, ventilation, and public health systems for commercial buildings.
You will produce 2D AutoCAD drawings and contribute to 3D modelling with Revit, perform core calculations, interpret UK standards, and engage in design reviews with international colleagues.
A UK-based building services firm delivering complex Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) packages across commercial projects nationwide. Our team combines in-house design expertise with directly employed multi-skilled engineers to ensure seamless project delivery—from pre-construction and design assurance to installation, testing, and commissioning. To support a growing pipeline of UK projects, we’re expanding our Manila-based design capability.
Role Overview
We’re seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with expertise in HVAC and Plumbing systems to join our Manila office and support UK operations remotely. Key Responsibilities
Develop concept, schematic, and detailed designs for HVAC and public health systems.
Produce coordinated 2D AutoCAD drawings and assist with 3D modelling (e.g., Revit).
Perform core calculations (heat gains/losses, ventilation rates, duct/pipe sizing).
Prepare equipment schedules and interpret UK standards (CIBSE, BSEN, F-Gas, BESA).
Collaborate remotely with UK-based engineers and participate in online design reviews.
Extract material and labour quantities from drawings/specs to support tenders.
Ensure all design documentation meets QA and client requirements.
Requirements
Minimum 5 years’ experience in mechanical building services design.
Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (building services focus).
Advanced 2D AutoCAD skills; working knowledge of 3D modelling tools (e.g., Revit).
Experience with material and labour take-offs for cost estimating.
Solid understanding of UK regulations and standards.
Strong English communication skills (written and verbal).
Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to manage tasks independently.
Experience supporting UK-based MEP/M mechanical tenders or consultancies.
Familiarity with BIM platforms (e.g., BIM 360, Asite).
Exposure to thermal modelling or energy compliance workflows.
What We Offer
Competitive salary based on experience.
Hybrid setup: Office-based in Pasay with remote collaboration on UK projects.
Stable UK workload with long-term career prospects.
Technical training and upskilling in UK standards.
Collaborative and supportive work environment.
