The position offers a clear path to transition into a full-time role as the business scales, with work in the client timezone (AEST) and strong emphasis on precise drawings with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• HVAC drafting and mechanical building services design experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD for drawings and documentation.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and mechanical standards for commercial construction.
• High attention to detail and accuracy in technical documentation.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Bonus: exposure to quantity takeoffs or tender preparation.

Responsibilities

• Produce detailed HVAC system drawings and layouts for high-rise and commercial buildings.
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs to support estimation and budgeting.
• Assist with tender documentation and submission processes to help secure new contracts.
• Review and interpret mechanical specifications and architectural plans.
• Coordinate drafting deliverables with project timelines to ensure on-time completion.
