Job summary

Scale-X Solutions is seeking an experienced HVAC Controls Estimator for remote work to support Australian HVAC and electrical projects. The role is primarily estimating with a small drafting portion (≈10%), reviewing plans, interpreting control requirements, and producing detailed tenders and quotations.

The ideal candidate has HVAC controls estimating experience, knowledge of electrical/mechanical systems, ability to interpret Australian docs, and AutoCAD capability for minor drawing revisions.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in HVAC controls estimating.
• Understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to interpret Australian construction documentation.
• Sufficient AutoCAD capability for minor revisions.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation and plans.
• Interpret HVAC control requirements and identify components.
• Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and specs.
• Estimate quantities and costs for HVAC controls and electrical works.
• Prepare BOQs, take-offs and cost estimates.
• Calculate labour requirements and installation costs.
• Review supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Maintain pricing databases and produce tender submissions.
