Job summary

AlphaGov is seeking an experienced Government Contract Manager to coordinate contracting activities across the full lifecycle—from opportunity identification to closeout. This role requires familiarity with U.S.

government procurement, compliance, and proposal processes, and involves collaboration with executives, researchers, and external partners. You will monitor opportunities, evaluate bid requirements, and assemble compliant, competitive proposals while maintaining organized records.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of direct experience in U.S. government contracting, procurement, proposal management, or contract administration.
• Experience reviewing government solicitations, RFIs, RFQs, and related documents.
• Familiarity with SAM.gov and common procurement portals.
• Understanding of FAR provisions and federal contract requirements.
• Strong written and spoken English; excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines with attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate professionally with government officials and teams.

Responsibilities

• Identify government opportunities and monitor procurement portals (SAM.gov, state/local portals).
• Coordinate proposal development with leadership and subject-matter experts.
• Develop schedules, checklists, and content libraries for responses.
• Ensure proposals meet all solicitation requirements and compliance standards.
• Maintain contract files and track deliverables, reports, and closeout.
• Support communications with contracting officers and program managers.
