Job summary

Modern Hippi Singapore is seeking an Finance Lead – FP&A & Accounting to manage day-to-day finance for a coffee brand start-up. The role covers budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, inventory analysis, and preparation of reconciled records for year-end reporting.

You will work closely with founders, explain margins, and drive actions to improve profitability. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in accounting/finance with hands-on QBO skills, strong P&L and balance sheet knowledge, and ecommerce

Qualifications

• 5+ years in accounting/finance with FP&A or controller roles.
• Hands-on accounting, investigate and correct books.
• Experience with ecommerce/retail/FMCG preferred.
• Strong Excel/Sheets analytics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets, monthly forecasts, cash flow projections, scenario planning, and performance variance analysis to support decision-making.
• Maintain accurate books of accounts, reconcile transactions daily, and ensure timely month-end and year-end closings.
• Process payroll, manage CPF/SDL and statutory obligations, ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare monthly P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements, and KPI dashboards with actionable insights.
• Manage supplier invoices, invoicing, payments, collections, and cash-flow optimisation.
• Reconcile weekly inventory movements and analyse sales across Shopify, Shopee, Lazada, TikTok Shop, Amazon and other channels.
• Monitor product costs, landed costs, margins, and operating expenses to improve profitability.
• Maintain financial records across QuickBooks and OneDrive with proper documentation.
• Establish robust controls, improve processes, and ensure data integrity across systems.
• Support annual reporting and statutory filings with authorities in Singapore.
