Job summary

Qashier is seeking a Finance Executive to join the growing Finance team in the region. Reporting to the Singapore-based Finance Manager, you will ensure accurate financial reporting, strong controls, and support across multiple entities.

This role offers ownership over accounting processes in a fast-paced fintech environment with regional exposure across Southeast Asia. You will engage in month-end close, audits, and process improvements to drive operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related discipline.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting and month-end closing.
• Experience using ERP or accounting software and Excel/Sheets.
• CPA qualification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries with supporting documentation and approvals.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions and GL activities.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and the general ledger.
• Support month-end closing activities including reconciliations and accruals.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Process payments ensuring internal controls and approvals.
• Monitor cash positions and support cash flow management.
• Maintain loan schedules and related reconciliations.
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions across entities.
• Monitor inventory movements and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare schedules for management reporting and audit requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve finance-related matters.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and automation.
• Ensure compliance with policies and accounting standards.

We're looking for a Finance Executiveto join our growing Finance team. Reporting to our Singapore-based Finance Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls, and supporting finance operations across multiple entities.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of the Finance team, you'll be responsible for ensuring accurate accounting records, supporting month-end close, and driving operational excellence across our regional finance function.

Your responsibilities include:

• Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring appropriate supporting documentation and approvals.
• Record day-to-day financial transactions, including receipts, payments, accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and general ledger activities.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records and the general ledger.
• Support month-end closing activities, including reconciliations, schedules, accruals, and reclassifications.
• Perform bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items promptly.
• Process payments while ensuring compliance with internal controls and approval workflows.
• Monitor daily cash positions and support cash flow management.
• Maintain loan schedules and perform related reconciliations.
• Record and reconcile intercompany transactions across entities.
• Monitor inventory movements and investigate discrepancies where required.
• Prepare supporting schedules for management reporting and audit requirements.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve finance-related matters.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve finance processes, controls, and automation.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and internal control procedures.

What We're Looking For

You'll be successful in this role if you enjoy solving problems, have a strong attention to detail, and take ownership of your work.

We're looking for someone with:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• CPA qualification is an advantage.
• 2-5 years of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of General Ledger accounting and month-end closing.
• Experience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reports.
• Experience using ERP or accounting systems.
• Strong Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with regional stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills with a proactive mindset.

It would be a plus if you have experience with:

• Multi-entity or regional accounting.
• Shared Services, FinTech, SaaS, Retail, or Payments industries.
• Inventory accounting or revenue recognition.
• Process improvement or finance automation initiatives.
