Job summary

Pacific Basin Shipping Limited in the Philippines is seeking an IT Support Specialist to monitor vessel IT systems, manage data transfers, and ensure fleet software availability for both onboard and office users.

The role encompasses first- and second-line support, remote assistance via TeamViewer and Teams, software installation and configuration, and training seafarers and staff. You will also participate in ad hoc IT projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in IT user support, application support, or systems support roles.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with maritime software applications and remote-user support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily vessel systems and data transfers.
• Provide first-line and second-line technical support for onboard and office users.
• Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve fleet systems issues.
• Deliver remote support to vessels through TeamViewer, Microsoft Teams, telephone, or other approved tools.
• Install, configure, test, and upgrade fleet applications.
• Conduct system training sessions for seafarers and office staff.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and business initiatives as directed.
• Perform other duties consistent with the position and business requirements as assigned by management.
