Job summary

Ethos is seeking experienced financial operations managers to help train its latest language model on professional documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks. You will own close reconciliations and audit request schedules, and contribute to PBC documentation and SOX testing memos.

This is a fully remote, flexible role (5–20 hours per week, more if desired). Compensation is $80/hour with start as soon as possible.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in corporate accounting, financial operations, or internal/external audit support.
• Hands-on ownership of close reconciliations and audit request schedules.
• Deep fluency in GAAP, PBC documentation standards, and spreadsheet-based control testing.

Responsibilities

• Own close reconciliations and audit request schedules.
• Prepare monthly close packages and PBC documentation.
• Refine AI-generated documents, spreadsheets, and slide decks.
• Develop and maintain vendor/expense audit trails.
• Produce budget-to-actual variance summaries and internal control notes.
