Job summary

Boomering is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our remote team supporting an Australian residential builder. You will own estimating for custom homes, townhouses and complex projects, including BOQs and quantity take-offs, while coordinating with the Australian team.

The role requires 3–4 years of residential estimating experience and strong interpretation of plans, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency and collaboration.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of residential construction estimating experience, ideally with Australian builders.
• Ability to interpret architectural plans, drawings and specs accurately.
• Experience preparing detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for residential projects.
• Knowledge of Australian residential construction methods and materials is advantageous.
• Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed Bills of Quantities for custom residential projects.
• Review plans, drawings, specs and client selections to determine full scope of works.
• Complete quantity take-offs for materials and construction requirements.
• Maintain estimating documentation and follow checklists/workflows.
• Collaborate with the Australian team to clarify project details and improve efficiency.
