Boomering is seeking a detail-oriented Residential Estimator (Australian Construction) to support our Queensland client from a remote work setup in the Philippines. You will manage estimating data, build initial plans, and ensure alignment with NCC and local codes before handing off to onshore PMs.

Initial focus on data structuring and verification, with growth toward end-to-end estimations as you master BuildXact and Excel, gaining autonomy while collaborating with suppliers and project teams.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of residential construction estimating experience in Australia
• Proficient in BuildXact and advanced Excel usage
• Strong knowledge of Australian Building Codes (NCC) and construction terminology

Responsibilities

• Estimating & plan generation from architectural designs and data entry into BuildXact and tracking sheets
• Procurement: RFQs, quotes comparison, and supplier communication with Australian trades
• Collaborate with onshore PMs to standardize pre-construction documents and grow ownership over time

Work Set-up: Work From Home

Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm PH Time

Salary: Php 45,000 – Php 60,000

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Residential Estimator to support a growing construction company based in Queensland, Australia. This role is a critical foundation for our pre-construction phase.

Initially, your primary focus will be managing the preparation of the estimating process, ensuring data is structured, verified, and complete before handing it over to onshore Project Managers. However, this is a growth-oriented role. As you master our systems and build strong confidence with the client, you will gain autonomy and transition into handling end-to-end estimations independently.

JOB DESCRIPTION FOR RESIDENTIAL ESTIMATOR (AUSTRALIAN CONSTRUCTION)

Responsibilities as a Residential Estimator (Australian Construction):

1. Estimating & Plan Generation

• Review architectural designs and generate preliminary plans and takeoffs.
• Input quantities, measurements, and structural data into BuildXact and master Excel tracking sheets.
• Assist clients and project managers with structural colour selections and finish schedules.
• Generate comprehensive building specifications aligned with project scopes.
• Ensure all prepared documentation strictly aligns with Australian Building Codes (NCC) and Queensland compliance standards.

2. Procurement & Supplier Coordination

• Manage supplier requests, distribute requests for quotes (RFQs), and maintain clear email communication with Australian trades and vendors.
• Consolidate, compare, and analyze incoming quotes to identify the best value and eliminate scope gaps.
• Organize and maintain a clean, updated database of trade pricing and supplier materials.

3. Team Collaboration & Pipeline Growth

• Standardize pre-construction documents to deliver seamless workflows for onshore Project Managers.
• Proactively flag missing documentation or discrepancies in plans before they reach the production team.
• Gradually take ownership of independent workflows as competence and trust are demonstrated.

Qualifications as a Residential Estimator (Australian Construction):

• Experience: 2 to 3 years of proven experience in residential construction estimating, specifically working with the Australian market.
• Software Proficiency: Hands-on, practical experience using BuildXact and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of Australian building codes, construction methods, and terminology.
• Plan Literacy: Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and scale architectural/structural plans.
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with a professional phone manner and description approach to email management and trade relations.
