Job summary

BruntWork is seeking an experienced E-commerce & Inventory Accountant to support our finance team with day-to-day accounting for a retail/e-commerce operation. The role focuses on high-volume Shopify reconciliations, intercompany journal entries, and stock movements.

This remote, part-time position offers 20 hours per week, with work hours 11:00-16:00 Sydney Time, and involves global invoicing (EU, ME, AU) and forecasting support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience in retail, inventory-based, or e-commerce business.
• Mastery of debit/credit, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Shopify e-commerce reconciliation experience (payouts, fees, refunds, tax allocations).
• Inventory accounting experience (stock movements, landed costs, COGS).
• Proficient with MYOB Advanced or similar ERP; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile high‑volume e‑commerce sales, gateway settlements, and payouts via Shopify.
• Reconcile Amex and multi‑channel bank accounts.
• Maintain, update, and process the Export Register.
• Prepare and post intercompany and general ledger journal entries.
• Receive stock, calculate inventory adjustments, and process end-to-end inventory transactions.
• Prepare EU and Asia sales invoicing.
• Post UK manufacturer invoices and supplier entries in MYOB Advanced.
• Process PR journals and maintain accounting schedules.
• Post repacks, stock movements, and land-cost adjustments in MYOB Advanced.
• Forecast financials for ME, EU, and AU.
• Maintain audit-ready records and ensure timely processing of transactions.
• Support the finance team with general accounting and ad‑hoc reconciliations.
