Job summary

Sharesource Australia BPO is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with Databricks and cloud tools. You will also support BI needs by maintaining dashboards in ThoughtSpot or similar platforms and collaborate with the Lead Data Engineer for architectural guidance.

The role spans raw data ingestion to BI layer support with a strong focus on data quality, reliability, and usability. Remote-friendly with local Philippines base and occasional onsite activities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks or similar platforms.
• Proficient in Python and SQL for data processing, transformation, and analysis.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with BI tools such as ThoughtSpot, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks.
• Contribute to design and implementation of data lake and data warehouse architecture.
• Translate business requirements into reliable and scalable data solutions.
• Collaborate with Lead Data Engineer on data modeling, pipeline design, and cloud infra best practices.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging for data pipelines to ensure data integrity.
• Participate in sprint planning, technical documentation, code reviews, and team rituals.
• Maintain and support dashboards and reports in ThoughtSpot.
• Assist stakeholders with ad hoc data queries and visualization needs.
• Ensure availability and accuracy of key business metrics during the analyst's leave period.
• Translate complex datasets into usable, decision-support insights.
