Job summary

Sharesource, a B-Corp company focused on democratizing opportunities, seeks a hands-on Data Engineer to build scalable ETL/ELT pipelines with Databricks and support BI needs using ThoughtSpot or a similar platform. You will work with the Lead Data Engineer on architecture and data transformation to ensure data quality and usability.

This role spans ingestion through BI, requiring strong data modelling and warehousing knowledge, collaboration skills, and a proactive approach.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as a Data Engineer, preferably supporting Australian clients.
• Proficient in building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks or similar platforms.
• Strong Python and SQL skills for data processing and analysis.
• Solid understanding of data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with BI tools such as ThoughtSpot, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Version control and collaboration practices using Git.
• Ability to collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders and good communication.
• Willing to work Manila time hours (7:00 AM–4:00 PM).

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimise robust ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks.
• Design data lake and data warehouse architectures and translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Collaborate with Lead Data Engineer on data modelling and cloud infrastructure best practices.
• Develop monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure data quality and reliability.
• Support BI needs by maintaining dashboards/reports in ThoughtSpot and other BI tools.
