Job summary

Sharesource is seeking a hands-on Data Engineer to build and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks and modern cloud tools. You will also support BI needs by maintaining visualisations and reports in ThoughtSpot or similar platforms, collaborating with the Lead Data Engineer for architectural guidance.

The role emphasizes data quality, reliability, and usability across ingestion, transformation, and BI layers, with a Monday–Friday Manila-time schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, ideally with Australian clients.
• Strong experience building and managing ETL/ELT pipelines in Databricks or similar platforms.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data processing, transformation, and analysis.
• Deep understanding of data modelling and data warehousing concepts.
• Experience with BI tools such as ThoughtSpot, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Version control and collaboration practices using Git.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Available to work Monday to Friday (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Manila Time).

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimise robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks.
• Contribute to data lake/warehouse architecture design and implementation.
• Translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
• Collaborate with Lead Data Engineer on data modelling and cloud infra best practices.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging for data pipelines to ensure data integrity.
• Participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and documentation.
• Maintain and support BI dashboards/reports in ThoughtSpot and assist with ad hoc queries.
