Job summary

Citco is seeking a skilled IT Developer – Data Engineer in Makati, Philippines, to design and operate scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks Delta Lake and Spark. You will migrate data workflows to AWS Databricks, build AWS-based pipelines, and optimize data models for batch and streaming workloads.

The role requires 3-5 years in data engineering with strong Databricks experience, SQL, Python, PySpark/Scala, and familiarity with AWS services and BI tools.

Qualifications

• Mains: 3-5 years in data engineering with Databricks hands-on experience.
• Strong SQL, Python, PySpark or Scala in Databricks environments.
• Experience integrating Databricks with AWS data services and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks Delta Lake and Apache Spark.
• Support data platform migrations to Databricks on AWS with minimal disruption.
• Build and manage AWS-based data pipelines using Glue, S3, and related ETL services.
• Create data models for batch and streaming processing; ensure data quality and security.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and optimize SQL queries for performance.
• Document data processes and maintain runbooks and architectures.
