Job summary

Remote Employee BPO Phil Inc in the Philippines seeks an experienced CPA/Controller to own the day-to-day accounting and financial operations for a US-based client. The role blends building strong financial systems with hands-on execution, covering quotes through cash collection, revenue recognition, and grant-related compliance.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting or financial management experience.
• Prior experience handling U.S. accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP.
• Demonstrated experience owning month-end and year-end close.
• Strong accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger experience.
• Experience managing the complete quote/order-to-cash process.
• Strong financial reporting, budgeting, and cash-flow management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of the accounting function.
• Strong Excel and/or Google Sheets skills.
• Comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial organization where the person responsible for designing a process may also be the person executing it.

Responsibilities

• Own the day-to-day accounting and financial operations.
• Oversee quotes through cash collection and revenue recognition.
• Maintain general ledger, payroll, and balance sheet accounts.
• Close monthly, quarterly, and annual books with accurate reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash forecasts.
• Manage budgets and rolling forecasts.
• Coordinate with external tax, audit, payroll, and other partners.
• Support grant expenditures tracking and federal grant documentation.
• Improve workflows between CRM, accounting, banking, and operations.
