Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a motivated finance professional to join our Shared Service Finance unit in a remote role. You will handle day-to-day accounting, data entry, Xero transactions, reconciliations, and reporting for a NZ-based client.

The role requires 3–5 years in commercial accounting, strong Excel and system skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. You will work with our refinancing team, prepare forecasts and monthly statements, and support system

Qualifications

• Degree qualified with 3–5 years experience in a related field.
• Commercial accounting background.
• Experience leading day-to-day work in a project team.
• Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day accounting support across the division.
• Process property transactions from Xero bank dashboards.
• Input/test new Property Management System to ensure accurate reporting.
• Create and maintain monthly General Ledger reconciliations.
• Create and maintain Fixed Asset Registers for each unit.
• Oversee supplier communications and reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and support board meetings.
• Maintain daily cashflow forecasts for division bank accounts.
• Conduct fact checks and resolve discrepancies as they arise.
• Assist with tax compliance as needed.
