Palmetto Clean Technology is seeking a Collections Specialist to manage a portfolio of past-due accounts, conduct outbound calls, emails, and texts, and collaborate with customers to resolve balances. This role requires clear communication, sound judgment, and the balance of firmness with empathy, delivering a positive customer experience while supporting Palmetto's financial health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework preferred.
• Prior experience in collections, call center, or customer service roles.
• Fluent in English with clear and professional phone communication.

Responsibilities

• Make outbound collection calls to past-due accounts (goal of 100 per day).
• Negotiate payment arrangements per policy and regulations.
• Accurately document call outcomes and commitments in CRM.
• De-escalate frustrated customers with professionalism and empathy.
• Educate customers on balances and payment options.
• Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly call targets.
• Follow applicable collection laws and guidelines (e.g., FDCPA).
• Escalate accounts as needed to supervisors or alternate paths.
• Maintain professional, courteous customer-focused interactions on every call.
