Job summary

Outsourced is seeking a CAM Programmer (CNC Programmer) for a 100% remote role to convert 2D drawings and 3D STEP models into robust CNC programs. The role bridges estimating workflow with shop-floor execution, delivering post-processed codes, setup sheets, and live prove-out support to ensure first-piece success.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of CNC programming experience for mills and/or lathes, strong MasterCam skills, and proficiency with ERP systems such as Odoo.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on CNC programming for mills and/or lathes in a job-shop or similar setting.
• Strong working knowledge of MasterCam (toolpaths, post-processing, STEP import).
• Experience with CNC lathes (live tooling, C-axis, Y-axis) and mills (3-axis, 3+2, multi-axis).
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and tolerances; knowledge of cutting tools, speeds/feeds, workholding.

Responsibilities

• Quote opportunities: provide tool lists, CAM programs, and cycle times for accurate quotes.
• Produce post-processed programs, setup sheets, and live prove-out support for first-piece part validation.
• Maintain centralized CAM library and ensure revisions are current in ERP (Odoo).
• Collaborate with shop-floor and foreman remotely for pro-type prove-outs and program refinements.
