Job summary

STAFFVIRTUAL is seeking a Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day accounting for multiple entities from a remote setup. The role emphasizes accurate books, timely reconciliations, and clear reporting to support business decisions.

You will work closely with the Practice Owner and CPA, ensuring confidentiality and robust financial controls. The ideal candidate has extensive QuickBooks Online experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to operate independently in a remote environment while

Qualifications

• Significant experience in bookkeeping and financial reporting.
• Advanced experience with QuickBooks Online.
• Strong grasp of accrual accounting and general ledger.
• Experience with monthly close and reconciliations.
• Experience with multi-entity and multi-location operations.
• Experience with US-based clients preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Manage books in QuickBooks Online for multiple entities.
• Record transactions and maintain GL.
• Prepare journal entries and schedules.
• Manage accounts payable processes.
• Perform bank, credit card, payroll, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Investigate discrepancies and resolve unreconciled items.
• Oversee monthly close and accruals.
• Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
• Communicate variances to leadership.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting.
