Job summary

Supabase is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Billing team, focusing on monetization systems, pricing mechanics, and integrations with Stripe and Orb. You’ll influence architecture, mentor engineers, and shape the roadmap in a fully remote, globally distributed environment.

You’ll balance delivering new capabilities with reliability, operational maturity, and cross-functional collaboration with finance, data, and partnerships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of engineering background with credibility with senior engineers.
• 3+ years managing remote engineering teams across time zones.
• Experience leading a billing engineering team in cloud/SaaS or developer tools.
• Track record of performance management and difficult conversations.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and building structure from little.
• Clear written communication and collaboration with cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

• Build a healthy, high-trust remote-first team culture and manage performance.
• Own hiring plan for the Billing team and participate in interviews.
• Own the Billing roadmap and drive delivery with clear milestones.
• Balance pricing work with system correctness, resilience, and debt reduction.
• Train as Incident Commander and lead post-incident reviews.
