Job summary

BruntWork is seeking a dedicated Verification of Benefits (VOB) Specialist to support the VOB team in confirming patient benefit eligibility for Spravato services and preparing Authorization Forms as required by payors. Remote, full-time role with flexible hours to align with EST and PHT time zones.

Responsibilities include running benefits checks, updating systems, and ensuring timely eligibility verification and authorization processing.

Qualifications

• 2-year college degree is required.
• 2-year experience in US-based medical billing or related billing experience preferred, especially with behavioral health.
• Must have backup power supply (generator/UPS) for remote work.
• Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform benefits checks via email and client-specific applications.
• Complete benefits checks within one hour.
• Verify benefits using portals or by calling carriers.
• Document and update patient insurance information in client systems.
• Track monthly eligibility to ensure active coverage across systems.
• Process authorization requests required by payors.
