Job summary

Overseas is seeking an outbound email copywriter to craft and manage cold email campaigns for a fast-growing B2B sales intelligence platform. You will own ICP research, copy strategy, and sequence write-ups aimed at SMB verticals, optimizing campaigns with data-driven A/B tests and performance metrics.

You’ll work in a remote, writing-first environment, collaborating with internal teams to ensure messaging aligns with ICP priorities and campaign goals.

Qualifications

• Substantial B2B outbound email experience with a track record of campaigns that generated real replies and meetings across a variety of SMB verticals.
• Ability to research an ICP, identify genuine pain points, and build copy angles that land rather than generic pitches.
• Knows how to structure a proper cold email sequence and understands cadence, tone, and escalation logic.
• Strong A/B testing discipline with the ability to optimize campaigns based on real performance data rather than gut feel.
• Past campaign results to show — open rates, reply rates, meetings booked, or similar metrics are required.
• Comfortable using AI tools and web research as part of the research and writing process.

Responsibilities

• ICP Research and Copy Strategy: Research ICPs, pain points, and buying triggers across SMB verticals and build copy angles that address real prospect problems.
• Sequence Writing and Campaign Execution: Write cold email sequences from subject line through follow-ups that generate opens, replies, and meetings; test messaging angles.
• A/B Testing and Optimization: Systematically test subject lines, opening lines, CTAs, and sequence structures and analyze performance data to improve copy.
• Collaboration and Documentation: Coordinate with GTM and sales to align email messaging with campaign goals; maintain documentation of copy versions and results.
