Job summary

Employment Hero is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our international payroll team, delivering accurate Australian payroll from a remote, remote-first environment. You’ll ensure timely processing, reporting, and client service while maintaining compliance with Australian regulations.

You’ll work with payroll partners and clients to resolve queries, perform adjustments, and safeguard data security in a fast-paced global setting.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years of experience in payroll, accounting, or finance with Australian payroll (must-have).
• Familiarity with Fair Work, superannuation, tax, and Australian payroll regulations.
• Strong attention to detail, commitment to accuracy, and proficiency in Excel for payroll data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong customer service mindset.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, timely payroll processing and reporting for Australian clients with 100% accuracy.
• Act as a trusted advisor to build long-term relationships and handle queries, adjustments, and compliance issues.
• Ensure strong adherence to Australian payroll regulations, information security guidelines, and partner collaborations.
• Processing and reviewing payroll for Australian businesses with 100% accuracy
• Preparing payroll reports and ensuring timely submission
• Assisting clients with payroll queries, adjustments, and compliance issues
• Working closely with payroll partners and clients to ensure a seamless payroll experience
• Building long-term relationships with clients and becoming their trusted payroll advisor
• Identifying and reporting any risks, errors, or compliance concerns related to payroll processing
• Following information security guidelines to protect sensitive payroll data
