Job summary

VA Platinum is seeking an experienced Australian Paraplanner to support Financial Advisers in delivering high-quality, compliant financial advice from the Philippines. You will prepare SOAs, ROAs, research strategies, and model outcomes across wealth management, with strong focus on accuracy and adherence to regulatory standards.

You’ll work with platforms like Xplan, Xtools, Risk Researcher, and WealthSolver, ensuring timely documentation and collaboration with advisers and providers.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as an Australian Paraplanner within an Australian financial planning practice.
• Strong experience preparing compliant SOAs and ROAs.
• Hands-on experience using Xplan, including Xtools or similar software.
• Experience using Risk Researcher, WealthSolver, or similar platforms.
• Experience preparing insurance quotes, product comparisons, and modelling.
• Strong understanding of Australian financial planning strategies including investments, superannuation, pensions, SMSFs, Centrelink, and debt recycling.
• Experience researching product, legislative, and strategy to support adviser recommendations.
• Strong understanding of compliance in Australian financial planning.
• Excellent analytical, written communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High attention to detail with ability to manage multiple files.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, Outlook.
• Paraplanners without gearing experience encouraged if they have advice implementation experience.
• With a conducive workspace at home for WFH applicants

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality Statements of Advice (SOAs), Records of Advice (ROAs), and supporting advice documentation.
• Conduct financial strategy, product, and legislative research to support adviser recommendations.
• Prepare insurance quotes, product comparisons, and financial modelling using Xtools, Risk Researcher, WealthSolver, or similar platforms.
• Develop advice strategies relating to investments, insurance, superannuation, pensions, SMSFs, Centrelink, debt recycling, gearing, and super rollovers where applicable.
• Support the implementation of approved financial advice by preparing documentation and coordinating with product providers and platforms.
• Liaise with Financial Advisers, implementation teams, and external providers to ensure timely completion of advice and implementation activities.
• Review client information to ensure advice documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant before submission.
• Maintain accurate client records and workflows within Xplan.
• Monitor outstanding implementation requirements and proactively follow up to completion.
• Stay up to date with Australian financial planning legislation, compliance requirements, and industry developments.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance advice quality, efficiency, and client outcomes.
